Should i drop kenny britt 2017

Kenny Britt did not get a vote of confidence after a rough debut with the Browns. He did play 52 of 66 offensive snaps but had only one catch, on three targets, for 13 yards and had the crucial drop. This is why they are the Browns. No continuity. This is the second year and a row that the Moneyball triplets have pulled this same stunt. The year before they played games with signing Mitch Schwartz, then Pryor. Then there is the fact that Pryor wanted to play for the Browns and gave Sashi Brown a chance to resign him to the same 1 yr contract that the Redskins offered to Pryor, that he did not sign until Sashi Brown told him the Browns were not interested.

Another misinformed comment from somebody wanting to rip the Browns. Coates finished with no catches. He did have one deep ball sail over his head on a fly route in the third quarter. It appeared he paused or hesitated before looking back at the line of scrimmage.

Was that a loaf? Or was it that Coates is still adapting to his quarterback and figuring out a new play book? As a new player, Coates deserves the benefit of the doubt. Britt, a veteran receiver who signed a nicely-sized contract to come to Cleveland, does not. That is, if you think he was loafing or giving less than ideal effort in Baltimore, or even against Pittsburgh last week.

That said, do you think the Browns have a situation where they need to consider making a change to their receiver rotation? With Corey Coleman out indefinitely with a broken hand, that decision becomes much more difficult. If Britt proves that his hamstring is healthy, the team could re-sign him. The Patriots just can't seem to find someone they like for depth purposes with Julian Edelman suspended until Week 5. Britt is a veteran but just hasn't been able to stay healthy this year and would be unlikely to carve out a fantasy role if he rejoins the Pats.

Britt has been battling a hamstring injury for the past week and the team appears to be not willing to wait for the veteran to heal up. Veteran receivers like Eric Decker and Phillip Dorsett are already trying to make the team and cutting Britt gives them an opportunity to get a longer look.
